The Principal service offered by Shield Security Services is the provision of Security Personnel. The Company offers a comprehensive and superior service which is personally assessed and tailor-made to suit each client’s individual and very special requirements. e.g. A Security Officer, or perhaps a team of several officers on the larger client site. The officers operate to comprehensive assignment instructions drafted and approved by the client.


Officers are required to make regular hourly check calls to our 24 hour Control Centre in order to confirm that all is well with themselves and the client’s premises. Where an officer misses a check call, a well rehearsed emergency procedure will immediately be implemented and a response vehicle sent to the client’s premises to investigate and report back to the Control Centre for further action.


A Shield Security surveyor will review a client’s site prior to contract, and offer recommendations on the levels of security that are considered necessary. Notwithstanding, the Company will respond to a client’s specific wishes in terms of their required cover. i.e. the hours, shifts and number of guards that may be required.


Throughout the day, night or weekend our Supervisors, Inspectors and Managers will routinely and randomly visit each client’s site in order to review the security officers performance. Disciplinary actions and corrective measures would be implemented immediately if any officer is found to be failing in his or her duties or where there is any evidence of misconduct or abuse of privilege.

 Recruitment Vetting

The highest degree of vetting is pursued in accordance with the requirements of BS 7858 – 2006, in that checks and verification of an applicants employment history is undertaken.
