UK terrorism threat level raised to ‘severe’

The recent terror attacks in Europe and the recent change in the UK’s terrorism threat level to SEVERE are reminders of how important it is to stay vigilant and report any concerns to police or local security staff immediately, wherever you are.

There are 5 levels of threat:

• low – an attack is highly unlikely
• moderate – an attack is possible but not likely
• substantial – an attack is likely
• severe – an attack is highly likely
• critical – an attack is highly likely in the near future
